on my 8 weeks old mini schnauzer? Is it too young to have a colar. It is hard to take him outside to do his business at 2 in the morning without the colar+leash. He keep running around the yard and want to play.

it's a good idea to get him use to a collar at a young age, then he wont fight it as much. You can also look into a harness. Plus youll need a place to attach id and his licence!

Yes do use a collar and to get him used to having it and a leash on you should put his leash on him while you are in the house and let him roam the house with the leash dragging behind him. Just keep a very close eye on him when you do this so he doesn't get caught on anything. Make sure you give him lots of praise and make having the leash and collar a happy thing for him and everything will be just fine.

No he he is not too young. The sooner the better, its easier if he starts to get used to the collar now.

Yes I had collars on my puppies as soon as their eyes where open and they were moving around so that they would get used to them and they did fine with them.

YOU PUPPY IS NOT TO YOUNG FOR A COLLAR. HE MAY FIGHT IT A BIT BUT WITH PATIENCE AND PERSISTENCE HE WILL LEARN. JUST BE CONSISTENT WITH HIS TRAINING.
