The DVLA has lost my expired passport and driving license when I recently used it as ID confirmation for a Euro photo license. I've been in America for nearly 15 years now and to get a replacement passport I have to state the town I got my original passport from. My choices are London, Peterborough and others - I was living in Bournemouth at the time and I'm pretty sure I got a train to Swansea (passport office)and did it in person? Am I going daft? This would have been in 1990 and I'm afraid I might be confusing the DVLA with the passport office... I know I'm probably going senile... but can anyone throw a light on this one?

The DVLA is in Swansea. The Passport Office for South Wales and the South West (including the whole of Dorset) is in Newport.

My Aunt lives in Poole (has done for 40+ years), and has her Passport Queries/Renewal dealt with by Newport.

Swansea is definitely the DVLA, not the passport office.

I dont think there has ever been a passport office in Swansea. The nearest is in (I think) Newport.
