I LOVE my Shiba Inu. Shibas take a lot of work and patience. I was unprepared for owning one, but after 9 years I am so happy I still own one.... er... I mean she owns me! They can be stubborn, sneaky, agile, smart, really fast runners, cat-like and tend to want to be the alpha dog. But with the right training, they can really bloom. My Shiba Inu Dobi has been featured in Petco ads and on TV and has her own website, MyDarnDog.com

I have seen them. Very beautiful dogs. Rottweiler are my personal choice ( I've had rotts for the last 15 years ). But I understand the shiba inu to be a very intelligent dog.

I have an Akita, which is the largest of the Japanese spitz-type breeds (the smallest, as you probably know, is the Shiba.) I think Shibas are great dogs!They remind me of mini Akitas!

Yes. I did lots of research before I passed him for a mini schnauzer. It shed a lot. It is very independent dog. It is "self-cleaning" dog just like cat. You will get lots of positive commend from others when you walk your Shiba.

My neighbour has one, very cute little dog looks like a little fox.
He's very protective of his owners and doesn't like other dogs much.
