It was more common in the 80's and early 90"s now adays its less common. Its a .08% possibility of getting pregnant and you have to factor in that if the DR doesn't insert it properly or it happens to slip out that's when you get pregnant but not if its IN place and inserted properly

yes I had an IUD when I got pregnant with my first I have five children now and 3 are from birth control IUD, Patch, and Depo Provera shot.

My daughter did, but the iud slipped part way out. it happens, but not often.
