...To give god characteristics is to limit god to those characteristics. As far as I've read, god is unlimited so... you can't fit him into human characteristics.

Unknown! Questions about Jesus, or Questions designed to convert or recruit people to Jesus (or even away from Jesus for that matter)are simply a waste of time. Ditto for being "saved" or trying to clarify minute points of scripture when there are so many different interpretations and editions of text. People have already decided for the most part if they believe in the fiction written in the bible. People who feel God talks to them have psychological problems because hearing voices is a psychological illness. All the major world religions have issues like this.

The christian God is bipolar, or else had anger issues that he worked out sometime around 5 or 10 B.C.. Look at almost any part of the Old Testament and you'll find examples of his wroth being bore by those who are an offense onto Him. Sodom and Gomorrah and Noah's flood are good examples. But in the New Testament He is a kind and loving God, willing to forgive any sin, as long as the sinner is repentant.

Personality traits belong to humans. The Soul has no personality traits, nor does God. Does it make sense to think that God is an introvert or an extrovert? that He might be good at parties? that He's too moody to spend time with? that He likes to joke around? Such traits simply do not apply to the Immutable.

How the Covenant is LIVED
Because of this great love that God has for everyone, we should love Jesus with all our heart mind and soul. One can show this love to Jesus by loving others as you would love Jesus. When someone is "hungry and you gave something to eat", when someone is "thirsty and you gave something to drink", when some church members come into town and you offer them a place to stay "stranger and you invited me in", (it must be noted that care must be taken if you plan to host anyone in your home in this day and age ). You also show love to Jesus by clothing the needy, feeding the hungry, and visting the sick. Matthew 25:34-40. Anyone who hates is not from God nor does he love God, 1 John 4:20 If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. Jesus made it clear we are to pray and love others, Matthew 5:44 But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, Jesus gave us a new command to love others John 13:34-35 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another"


The whole point of the teaching of Jesus is Love.

The love we show to others does not mean that we have to put up with abuse from anyone, or live in an abusive relationship, a wife does not have to put up with a husband who beats her, she is free to leave such a relationship. Jesus called us to live in peace with others. Living in abuse goes against the teachings of Jesus.
