Anyone know what places I should look to find bird's nest? I can't climb trees and I also live in town house complex.

No jokes please.

I would recommend that you get a copy of Petersen's Field Guide for birds for your part of the country -- the book comes in two versions, Eastern and Western.
Birds construct a wide range of nests, from simple scrapes on the ground to elaborately woven nests of sticks and grasses. Some are camouflaged and some are out in the open. Some are big and some are small. It all depends on the bird, and where and how it lives.
Check with the Field Guide for more specifics.
Best of luck.

The best time to look for nests is during the winter months when there is no foliage on the trees. (If this applies to your region.) Different species of birds build their nests in various locations. Some like the tops of trees others like bushes. This can be a fascinating search. Good Luck!

Are you wanting an actual nest, or are you wanting to watch birds in the nest? Breeding season has ended for the most part, so it is very unlikely that you would find an active nest now. If you are just looking to collect nests, many birds nest in scrubs and on the ground. It probably would not be too hard to locate an old mouring dove or mockingbird nest if you just look around your complex, they are pretty common. If you want to find birds nesting you will have to wait until next spring.

If you have an outside porch light fixture, some birds build nests on top of it. I have seen nest in cement blocks that may be stacked up out in the yard. Some birds like to build in low trees and bushes within reach of the ground, usually in a place near the front door.

I would check to see if your city has a local Audubon club. I didn't even realize that there was a bird club for birder's. That is what were called to those who love to bird's.

But the Audubon club would have places in your area to know where to bird. (park's are a good place to look for bird's, Mainly anywhere with trees', and tree's with water nearby you can look up with your binnocular's! Enjoy. Especially in the Morning and in the evening is when bird's like to come out!

JUST WONDERING WHY YOU WOULD WANT A BIRD NEST.
THEY ARE FULL OF FLEAS AND BESIDES THE BIRDS SOMETIMES USE THEM OVER AND OVER.IF YOU WANT ONE FOR DECORATION YOU CAN BUY A FAKE ONE IN A CRAFT STORE,
DONT TAKE THEM OUT OF A TREE. THATS WHERE YOU WOULD FIND THEM OR IN A BIRD HOUSE.
