The initial sequence of sounds [eks] is not a Celtic sequence of sounds, but a Latin or Greek one.

Sounds more like a fantasised Roman name to me ... like the ones in Asterix the Gaul for example..!

Celtic languages have different roots to English and other European languages, so I see no reason to suppose that Latin words would be the root of Celtic names.

I do yes, one of my grannies was Irish and one of my grandpa's Scottish, not sure what my maiden name means though but its a very famous name.
