where i live they patrol on foot in morrisons and tescos doing their shopping

About a year ago. Since we have lived here some 7 years I have seen 3 or 4 police foot patrols. I have seen a patrol by these new imitation police.

I live in the South Bronx neighborhood Mott Haven. Seeing police patrolling on foot is a common occurrence.
Thanks to Guliani, you never know when a street cop will come out of nowehere, violate your rights, shove a broomstick up your *** or shoot you 41 times.

Last week, though that was only the second time in four years I've lived here. That said, coppers on foot aren't very good at immediate response which is what people really want.

I"ve lived in this street for 4 years, the local Police station is 400yds away and I have never seen a Policeman walk, cycle or drive up our street. The only time I see them is on the telly or the Motorway.

We live in rural Arkansas, police don't patrol on foot. So my answer is never.

We used to have a WPC come round my street on a bicycle, does that count? Last time must ahve been when I was bout 8 or 9; I'm 23 now.

I feel they are more effective in some sort of vehicle. I have seen them in my neighborhood patrolling in cars, and I have also seen them on bikes. Wheels go faster than feet.
