Three basic processes, or combinations of two of them, occur at tectonic plate boundaries. The first is divergence. Hot magma rising from the mantle causes two plates to separate from each other. The second is convergence. Plates colliding with each other cause one plate to be completely or partially subducted under the other. The third is transvergence (is there such a word?). Plates can slide past each other.

Plate movements, with adjoining plates coming together, moving apart, or rubbing together. Occasionally when two plates interlock, pressure can build up to such an extent that when it becomes unsustainable, the energy released produces an earthquake, which in turn can sometimes trigger tsunamis.

Well, exactly what happens depends on what type of boundary it is, but generally, it is either a fault, mountains, trenches, or volcanos. All of them occur at plate boundaries.
