Well i know this guy, and he is really sweet and nice and one of the few guys in my school who is not a peverted asshole. I know he likes me and i would definatly go out with him except for one thing. I know this sounds very shallow, but its just that he has really bad acne. And if I could ever imagine myself kissing him, his acne just gets in the way. Like what if i go to kiss his cheek, or something and its all disgustingly bumpy and stuff? I feel really bad for thinking this because he is sooo nice and has a good sence of humor too. Am I a bad person for thinking this? And should i just go out with him anyway? because i mean if he had good skin i would definatly do it!

Yeah you are. Well, maybe not horrible, quite. But, I'll still try to answer your question. Don't do anything you don't want to do because you think you should. That will eventually lead to six miles of bad road if you do it enough. Think about and try to figure out exactly what it is about his problem that bothers you. Is it what others would think? Do you think it might be something you'd catch? Would it matter if nobody knew or is it how he appears to you? One thing you might think about is just try being buddies for a a bit. It really is a very good sign that you asked the question, BTW.

Let me tell you, the acne kid is just as perverse if not more than the other boys. I bet he sits in his room at night and masturbates to disturbing thoughts of women, mean and perhaps even animals. Im positive he has mosturbated thinking about you in many indecent positions and situations. This is the way of things. Then again, he might just be a good kid. Just remember, just because you can't see it doesn't mean its not there, and in many cases its worse then the ones you can see. Be careful.

It may be hard to do, but give it a try, go out with him. There was a guy like that in our school, and his face and neck were covered! At our 10 year reunion, there was no acne, but he was still the same great guy (with better skin), and girls flocking all around him. It's only zits, it's not like he stinks, right? Be brave girl, go the road less travelled!

acne can be treated with mass amounts of vitimin A under a doctors care and there is things on the market to help also . my brother in law had bad acne and when he got married one of his kids also had bad acne and the other two didn't. look past the acne. at the person he could be the love of your life down the road

Become a good friend and talk to him. Let him know that he must be uncomfortable with it. Ask him if he has a dermatologist or is on any treatment. Maybe with your encouragement he will get treatment. Go out with him...you don't have to kiss him. It is something with or without treatment will eventually go away. Be a good friend.....time will decide the rest.

I dont have that bad of acne but i think u should try it and see how it goes and no i think u sound like a nice person.

Make sure it's only acne and not some skin disorder. But if you don't find him attractive you should remain as friends for now and take your time and see if his acne clears up.

You said it yourself, you're shallow.
What really bothers you is not the acne, it is whatever your friends are gonna think of you making out with a guy with ACNE!!!
Ouuugh, look at that, she most be really desperate, watch out his face!!!
If you are not going to be yourself don't give him any expectations about you, and DO NOT go out with him.
Remeber acne is a disease, and it can disappear, shallowness is not.

I understand. Yes, it does mean you're shallow, but I still do understand. Remember, some day his skin will clear up. If he's as great as you say, do you really want to miss out on that.
