If they force people to work on Sunday, they'll make more money. It's the almighty dollar.

Who cares if Wal-Mart supports gays and lesbians, it is none of your business. I thought Christians were supposed to be Christ-like, did Jesus force his religion on other people? I don't think so. How unlike your religions noble founder you have become. By the way, sunday is a "pagan" holiday, one for sunworship, that christianity adopted to appease the masses. If you read the Bible you would see that it says the seventh day of creation, when god rested, is the true sabbath. Saturday is the right day. I'm not even a Christian and I know this. Listen to your religions founder, not your local extremist pastor.

Force? Where have you been? If you don't want to work on Sunday, get another job. It's called freedom of religion, sure, but it cuts both ways. You want to be free to not work on Sunday, then a company is free to tell you to go find someone who will accommodate you. As far as bringing the gays and lesbians thing into it, that's a red herring. Gays and lesbians don't have sex at work, so therefore, their sexual orientation has no bearing on their ability to do the job. However, a devout Christian who insists on not being made to work on Sunday is exhibiting a behavior that has a bearing on ability to do said job. The gay or lesbian that is willing to work on the Sabbath is more dependable than the Christian that isn't. Plain and simple.

I think you are referring to the equal opportunity employment laws. The don't support gays, they just can't discriminate against them. That is the law for EVERY employer in the country, not just wal mart.

As for the christians....this is a free country. They don't have to work for wal mart, and it doesn't seem to stop christians from SHOPPING at wal mart on Sunday.

I'm not Christian, but Wal-Mart has many problems, including discrimination. Women get paid less than men do for doing the same job at Wal-Mart, and they get away with it. I didn't know they supported gays and lesbians, and I'm not sure I believe this. At any rate, I think Wal-Mart needs to be drastically changed.

Christians working on Sunday? Sounds OK to me. I don't keep the sunday anyway, I follow the Bible, and I keep the Sabbath, and in the Bible there is only one Sabbath and that is the seventh day. If you are thinking that the seventh day Sabbath was only for the Jews, the think again, it was instituted on the seventh day of creation, and Adam and Eve were there in the garden with God on that first Sabbath. Gen 2:1-3. Sunday is a catholic/pagan day of worship (Sun worship). Read you history.

Walmart has the ability to support whichever causes it deems fit. Otherwise, it is really no ones business. Name one retail outfit that is not open on a Sunday.. if people want to survive the economical disaster on our hands they will work. Seems many churches have many different worship times and days so why make a big deal on going on Sunday if it's that important to them.

No one is forced to work on Sundays, there is no need to lie about it. And why bring the gays into it? If you don't like it quit.

Where is the connection? It's apples and oranges, one has nothing to do with the other. If a job requires everyone to work on Sunday, you can always choose to not work there.
