Do it right when you come home. Keep your computer and TV off, and isolate yourself. As weird as it sounds, I study in the Bathroom. I sit on the floor and it forces me to concentrate since there isn't anything interesting in there. Plan how much time you should study each subject, but be sure to leave time for fun stuff too. Good Luck!

I had the same problem, but what worked for me is I made a schedule. Write down every hour from when you get up til midnight or whenever you go to sleep, then fill in all the times that you do the same thing every day - for example, 7-2:30 school, 4-7 work, etc. Then with your free time, schedule yourself an hour to study each subject. You don't necessarily have to do every subject every day unless it's homework. And don't forget to schedule yourself some free time for relaxing or else you'll get burned out. It's really helped me. Good luck!

You can't do homework right when you get home. You need to unwind a little. Goof off, go outside, have some fun. Eat dinner. After dinner settles, then hit the homework. Have good lighting and get rid of telephones, tv's, and talking roomates or family members. Make the best use of an hour or two. Then close up shop, goof off some more, and hit the sack.

Is it just homework you have a problem with? Or is it everything?

When I took my psych class, studies showed that human have an average attention span of 20 minutes. Which could explain why it is so difficult to study! So set a time when it is best for you to study and do homework. Set a timer to 20 minutes. Do it for 20 minutes and then a 5 min break in between. That should help!

Good luck!

It's easy to get side-tracked...U need to discipline yourself. I like the schedule idea--that will do good to get u started into a habit. Just remind yourself constantly of how important it is to get ur homework done right away while it's fresh in ur mind... Things always seem to come up, but stay focused, it will be well worth it in the long run!
