I absolutely love your question....it's the best laugh I've had today. I called my husband in here and we read all the answers!!!
Honestly, farts are funny!!!! However, some farts are funnier than others. The kind which emit a smell that can burn the hairs right out of your nose aren't funny at all. But the ones that are loud and long (and non-odorous) are truly funny (most of the time).
I don't always find them funny.....but some of them really are.
Hey, save up some of "yours" and fire them back at the "cheek-lifter"!!!

Arr. This question is just BEGGING for the time honoured answer.
Men lift their leg to ensure that excess gasses are expelled from the correct orifice.
Women on the other hand, don't need to do this as they never stop talking for long enough to build up enough pressure to fart in the first place !!

The poor ladies. So bemused by the sheer enjoyment we men get from 'letting one go'. The truth of the matter is that men possess the necessary imagination, open-mindedness and creativity that we're able to construct comedy from such a basic function. I'm afaid that this only goes to prove the lack of depth and 2 dimensional approach to life you girls never fail to demonstrate. Lighten up, stop being so uptight, it won't kill you ;-)

Mens fart strings run left to right & vice versa. We need to stretch these in order to fart safely, hence the "leg lift". The look of amusement is wondering if your lady will be able to deal with those "hard to shift stains". The Daz doorstep challenge never conquered any tyre marks as far as I know.

I have no idea. I am not an animal, I don't do this when I fart, I just do it normally. I also don't lift my leg when I go the bathroom.

I do not know what is wrong with women, I lift my leg, I ask her to pull my finger but she never sees the funny side but I am glad to say that I am training my daughter to see the funny side much to my wifes horror, my daughter is probably going to be farting for England soon using the lifting the leg technique combined with the thumbs up squinting face approach.

the cushions muffle the sound too much and push your shorts into your crack for worse skid marks
personally, i like to grab the raised cheek and spread it more. Gives better tone, and you can slam it shut in an emergency

No idea, but I have seen women to, it is not a pleasent sight.
As for pulling fingers well you hand me the plyiers and let see who wants their finger pulled.
