i broke up with my boyfiend because he was cheating on me with this other girl. i found out because my friend was talking to him and he told her that this girl broke up with him and that he is really sad and thats the only girl he likes. but then he told me that he was so sorry he says that he really loves me. and that i should forgive hi. he said he almost went to jail over me because he went on a plane to go see me but theey took him of. but how do i know hes not lying about that eather. it sounds like he really like me but once somebody cheats on u its hard to trust them again i dont know what to do?

It is difficult to trust someone after they have been unfaithful. Normally they are only sorry because they were caught. The next time they will be more careful. Someone who cheats is a cheater by choice...not just a one time thing, They want to eat their cake and have it too. If he really cared, he would have thought of you first and would not have indulged. He would have not allowed him self to have even been in the situation. How you would feel would have been important to him. Further, he would have realized that he would not have wanted it to happen to him. You had held him in in a much higher esteem than he you.A cheater is a liar instinctively...they have to lie to cover and disguise there indiscretions.
Follow your instincts...I think you have already made the right decision.

It's hard to have a good relationship with someone you do not trust. Granted, everyone is entitled to make a mistake but we are talking about his personal integrity.
If you think he has good integrity, that is, you see him dealing with others and in his life honestly and his dealing with other matters in an honest way then maybe you can forgive and go forward. But if you really doubt him and don't think you can develop trust with him again, then forget it. You'll just end up with heartache.

If he almost went to jail 4 u..then yes! Take him back before he does something even more drastic just to talk to you.
But, if he lied to you so many times, don't because he might do it again. He could even be lying about that airplane incident.

Forgive him? I don't even know how you thought of that. I would say move on and forget about him, once he cheats on you and you give him another chance he'll think you're really easy going and may cheat on you again.

if yall are far enough away for him to see you on a plane, you shoulnt be together. if there is so much distance, you probably met on the internet which is not a real relationship!!! so he didn't cheat on you if you were never going together in the 1st place.

I say move on girl! There are many guys that don't cheat on other girls. So Find that special person!!!

very few guys are honest, I am not.
Even good people tend to lie to their GF or BF.
So if you think the next one will be much better, guess again.
Just find a straight guy who can decorate or cook and grab him.

dont forgive him because if he cheated once he will do it again find you someone thats going to respect you, you deserve it we all do.
