AS a pub/ restaurant manager I have come across many people who find it very difficult. one thing that helps is having a business card type of thing to carry around with you so if you eat out it can be given to the chef. If the place is even half decent they should have someone who knows or at least if the food is fresh the chef should be able to help.

Most people i have spoken to have said its fine if your research it properly the more you know the easier it is

I have a friend and a cousin with Coeliac Disease and they manage it fine - it won't kill them if they eat a little bit by accident (unlike some nut allergy sufferers) so they are lucky in that respect, but I'm not sure if this is the same for everyone.
You can get gluten-free everything nowadays so she shouldn't have to miss out on too much.

This link has info on coeliac and how to manage your child's diet...

It is easier than it used to be 10 years ago. Many more foods are gluten free now. Phone your local Coeliac Society. It's in the phone book. They will be able to answer your questions.

My boss in work was diagnosed last year. She seems to find it easy enough to manage. Although wheat seems to turn up in the most random foods.
It does mean a strict diet but apart from that it looks easy enough to manage.
Good luck and I wish your daughter all the best.

My brother-in-law has coeliac disease. He has to avoid wheat in particular. Because this is related to the digestive tract, avoid anti-biotics as they compromise the digestive system further, preventing the natural bacteria from breaking down food efficiently. I would also suggest keeping well away from pharmaceutical drugs. I work with a research and development company who deal with naturals. Naturals are more readily absorbed into our systems than pharmaceuticals and they get to the root cause.

Chromosomes are available in 2 halves, held mutually with the aid of a chromatid. The chromosomes carry the genes that code for all the applications your physique does as a manner to proceed to exist. there is one gene for each functionality on each 0.5 of the chromosome to blame for donning that gene. If the two are functioning properly, you will no longer have the ailment. often if one is defective and the different isn't you would be advantageous yet your toddlers could have the ailment in case you have toddlers with somebody interior the comparable place. (there are some ailments the place if one is defective and the different isn't you've gotten the ailment. The gene that overrides the different is the dominant gene. The overridden gene is recessive) Coeliacs ailment is recessive. this suggests the gene which means you are able to strategies gluten mask the defective gene which means you're no longer able to realize this. in case you own the functioning gene you will have no subject with gluten, no count if or no longer you have the defective gene. as a manner to have Coeliacs ailment, the two gluten processing genes could desire to be defective. as a manner to have Coeliacs ailment your father could desire to the two have or carry the defective genes. If he has it, you've gotten it. If he would not, you have a one million/2 threat of having it if he includes it and a nil threat if he would not carry the defective gene. i might propose you may as a rule possibly be exhibiting the signs and indications in case you had it (in spite of if, I in user-friendly terms understand the genetics of Coeliacs, no longer the scientific signs and indications)

A friend/colleague has it. I think she has to watch what she eats (wheat/gluten intolerant) but apart from that, she gets on OK.
