A nice simple recipe for flavoring the shrimp is what I'm interested in.

First put them on skewers, then add teryaki sauce, sesame seeds, salt and pepper, and a couple dashes of hot sauce. The cook on the grill, but make sure not to overcook them. mmmmmmm.

THAI SPICED BARBECUE SHRIMP

3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons curry paste
1 pound medium shrimp - peeled and deveined

DIRECTIONS:
In a shallow dish or resealable bag, mix together the lemon juice, soy sauce, mustard, garlic, brown sugar and curry paste. Add shrimp, and seal or cover. Marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
Preheat a grill for high heat. When the grill is hot, lightly oil the grate. Thread the shrimp onto skewers, or place in a grill basket for easy handling. Transfer the marinade to a saucepan, and boil for a few minutes.
Grill shrimp for 3 minutes per side, or until opaque. Baste occasionally with the marinade.


BARBEQUE SAUCE MARINADE

Ingredients

1 tbsp. oil
1/4 c dried onion flakes
1/4 tsp. dried garlic, powdered
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 ts chili powder
1/2 ts dry mustard
2-1/2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1/2 c dry red wine, or 1/4 cup red
- wine v; inegar plus
1/4 c lemon juice

Instructions

Saute onion flakes in vegetable oil. Stir in garlic,
salt, chili powder, dry mustard, brown sugar;add the
Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, and wine and stir
well. Bring mixture to boil and then simmer for 5 minutes.
Cool. Makes 2 cups of marinade.

BARBEQUE SHRIMP

1 lbs. shrimp, med.
1 lb. bacon
1 can sliced water chestnuts
K-C barbecue sauce
skewers

Soak skewers in warm water for about 1 hour. (this prevents them from burning during cooking,) Cut pound of bacon in half. Cook until it is limp. Peel and wash shrimp. Drain. Place shrimp on cutting board, one at a time, curled tight and in rows of six. Place 1 water chestnut on each shrimp. Wrap with one bacon and put on skewer. Brush with barbecue sauce. Cook on barbecue grill until bacon is done.

I like to keep it simple Wash my shrimp make a foil bag with butter garlic salt onion if I have it seal it up let it steam and wow its always good and no labor its gets me ready for the next course

Grilled Jumbo Shrimp
1 tablespoon orange juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 garlic clove, minced
Dash crushed red pepper flakes
Dash ground ginger
2/3 pound jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
12 cherry tomatoes
Hot cooked rice
In a bowl, combine first seven ingredients. Cover and refrigerate 2 tablespoons for basting. Pour remaining marinade into a large resealable plastic bag; add shrimp. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Drain and discard marinade from shrimp. Alternately thread shrimp and tomatoes onto metal or soaked wooden skewers. Coat grill rack with nonstick cooking spray before starting the grill. Grill kabobs, uncovered, over medium heat for 3 minutes on each side or until shrimp turn pink, basting occasionally with reserved marinade. Serve over rice if desired. Yield: 2 servings.

put 5 shrimp on each skewer and season lightly with tony chacherie's cajun seasoning...baste with butter...cook each side for about 3 to 4 min...serve with a side of chpotle bbq sauce....

or wrap the shrimp in bacon with a sliver of jalapeno inside...secure with a toothpick...also serve with bbq sauce
