Strep throat has nothing to do with not having tonsils. You can get it with or without tonsils.

My daughter had her tonsils bumped off two years in the past by way of fact she saved getting strep throat and purely sore throats usually. She neglected diverse college, yet provided that she had her tonsils bumped off, she has had appropriate attendance 2 years straight away. not extra sore/strep throat. i'm undecided in case you would be able to get it, however the probability is slimmer now.

You shouldn't but I don't think it is impossible. I had my tonsils removed because of the frequency in which I got strep. Once the tonsils went so did the instances of strep.That was 10 years ago and I haven't had it since.

Yes they can because it affects the throat as well, although it isn't called strep throat anymore.....its just a sorethorat due to infection in the cells in the throat.

Yes. Tonsillectomy is only done now for chronically infected tonsils. This doesn't stop the possibility of throat infections, merely reduces them.
