I know you people are completely delusional and wouldn't deny God's existence if undeniable proof he's not real was shoved up your bible-bashing ***. BUT, I'd just like you to prove to me that he's real - any kind of proof be it big or small - if you can.

I've argued this matter to alot of Christians and Religious People and it always ends with one word... "Faith." I urge you people during this debate to not rely on such a vague and meaningless word and we'll see what you come up with then.

Kimmyisahotbabe I'd just like to answer your... uh, stuff: First of all it sounded like you were trying prove I was wrong about something when actually you were kind of agreeing with me. I wasn't aking what God "is" I was saying that he doesn't exist. Secondly what was that sh!t "If I say this brick is God then you won't believe it but I can still smash you in the face with it" all about? There would be a big difference - the brick is there. I could see it and I could certainly feel it if you hit me with it (which you wouldn't get the chance to do because I'd knock you out cold in a second if you tried)!

I'll put you as the best answer though, sweet-cheeks. That is of course unless someone gives a better answer Proving that the God from The Bible is real. ;-)

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!

Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!

Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?

My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:

Do you know how to play safe?
Your point:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...

Believer's point:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...

Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?

First of all, a "bible basher" is one like you, that knocks the bible. You probably meant to say "bible thumping".

Now for your proof. Listen carefully.

The question is Does God Exist?

To answer that question, you must address the issue of "what is God". If you deny that God exists without first defining God, then I could say this brick is god, and if you don't believe it exists, then you wouldn't mind me smashing it against your head.

What is god is not a trivial question, however you must agree that God is a word. After all, you're using it yourself.

So now the question is what is a word. A word is a sound or symbol that communicates an idea. Words must mean what most people think they mean, otherwise they aren't really words.
However, words are subtle and tricky. The person I call Aunt, my cousin calls Mother. As I write this, yesterday was Sunday, but tomorrow yesterday will be Monday. So the meaning of a word can be relative to the speaker, the time, and the place. But, words still have a universal meaning, or they're not words.

So how is the word God used by most people, throughout time, in different places?

God has always been used to describe the unknown. In fact, that is all the word God means. You can't know anything about God, because as soon as you do, it's not God anymore. Thunder use to be attributed to God, as did many things that science has since explained. However, we will never know everything, so God will always exist.

I hope you read all that, because it's true.

You know there is no answer for it. But my arguments are not based on just faith or any religious books. It is purely my own personal conclusions.

Just take an example. You travel into a dessert and reach a place where there is a small hut and a cloth is hanging on a rope. What will be your thought? Anyone will think that there is someone living or lived. Means someone behind this house and belongings. Now if I say that the hut is evolved or formed out a Big Bang.... what will be your opinion?

Keep aside all religious books and arguments. Keep aside the God himself. Now my argument is that without the work of an extraordinary brain we cannot come into being. If it is a miracle, then there is a brain behind it.

Now another point. There are people world wide. Different cultures.... different languages..... and so on. Thousands of years before none of them were even knowing each other community. Still, each of the society had a system to worship an unseen power in some form or the other. The way of worship varies but all they had the same argument. The power behind the creations..... Is it an evidence of some common understanding or even a reality?????

There is reasonable evidence to suggest the existence of a creator. The extreme complexity found in the DNA code for starters. If you were to go down to the junk yard and found a fully assembled Jumbo Jet and when you ask "where did that come from" and the Junk yard dealer suggested that it assembled itself over a few billion years. would that be believable? The human body is extremely more complicated than that. And yet time and chance as used like a magicians hat to explain everything. It pulled an entire universe out of noting and assembled it. there are a number of tings that would have to be present for a human life to exist and gradual evolution cannot account for this. In order to survive a body would need a complete digestive system, a reproductive system or it would have no offspring, fully functional breathing apparatus. These systems need to be complete from the beginning or they wouldn't operate. Finally the complex DNA information where did it come from. We all know computers don't function by themselves but operate on the instructions fed into them. Where did the DNA code come from. Then there is also the problem of the existence of conscience and self awareness.

Nobody alive or who as ever lived knows the answer so your guess is a good a anyone's including the pope. Our limited human minds tells us that someone or something must have created the universe and everything in it. This seem logical so we can call that thing or being god but there is no way we can know what sort of being that is. Considering the amazing complexity of the universe and diversity and incredible range of life that exists and has existed on this earth at least I would say that with our limited intelligence we stand no chance of getting anywhere near an idea of the true nature of what or who created it all

Firstly proof denies faith. If you prove something then you have no faith as you know.

Secondly, I thought that Preaching the Non-Existence of God was a crime in the UK. Is that still true?

If you look at some of the work by Stephen Hawkings (a devout Christian) you will notice he has ideas and proves them, but then he goes about un-proving them again. Somethings are not meant to be known only felt and believed.

There is actually no proof whatsoever that God exists. That is why I am somewhere between an atheist and an agnostic. In fact, God is DEFINED as a being whose existence cannot be proven since God is invisible and cannot be sensed by any sense or any machine. It's ridiculous if you really think about it.
The existence of God as he's portrayed by Christians or Muslims is just as likely as the existence of an invisible, man-eating iPod.

People who insist that God exists will tell you some crap like "Proof of his existence lies in the beautiful flowers and the complexity of nature" or whatever. Not only is this not a proof of any kind, there are more likely explanations to why flowers may be beautiful or why nature can be complex (it's called evolution).

It seems that I have to answer this question a lot lately. Okay... We will not use scripture or faith to prove God's existence. We will use logic and philosophy, which is not religious in nature. That should satsify you. If you can refute what I present, then e-mail me at bunejug1@yahoo.com.
I am not being aggressive towards you in this. I just speak plainly and people tend to think I'm hostile. Anyway, here we go.

First proof of the existence of God:

God is the first mover: Anything moved is moved by another. There cannot be an infinite series of movers. So, there must be a first mover.

Second proof of the existence of God:

God is the first cause: Anything caused is caused by another. There cannot be an infinite series of causes. So, there must be a first cause.

Third proof of the existence of God:

God is the Necessary Being: Not everything is contingent (made of parts or dependant on another). So, there is a Necessary Being upon which other beings depend for their existence.

Fourth proof of the existence of God:

God is the Greatest Being: Whatever is great to any degree gets its greatness from that which is greatest. So, there is a Greatest Being, which is the source of all greatness.

Fifth proof of the existence of God:

Intelligent Designer: Whatever acts for an end (its goal or destiny or fulfillment of function) must be directed by an intelligent being. So, the world must have an intelligent deisgner.

Actually, you can read these proofs in greater detail in the Summa Theologica by St. Thomas Aquinas. If anything it will expand our notions on God and keep one from believing He is some old bearded fellow floating in the clouds. God is more than that. May the Lord bless and keep you. May He let the light of His face shine upon you.
God's and your beast of burden

it extremely is an age old question that we could or will possibly on no account understand even after loss of existence we can possibly on no account understand. in accordance to technological awareness, and Athiests, He would not exist. in accordance to non secular varieties and human beings with faith, He does exist. in accordance to Agnostics, He could or will possibly no longer exist. yet now back to the commencing up, if He does exist, perhaps sometime he will tutor himself or enable Himself time-honored to the human beings, or interior the Afterlife, because of the fact the Doctrine states, in case you're stable then you extremely would be allowed in Heaven while God lives. in spite of the fact that it is likewise achievable that there could no longer be an Afterlife yet He nevertheless does exist for us to on no account understand in any respect. Then there is likewise the perception that He would not in any respect exist nor does Heaven exist, it extremely is the Athiest perception of what God is. For myself in my view, i do no longer think of i've got self belief in Heaven, as much as i might actually want to, there is in simple terms no longer something in my strategies which will enable me have self belief that Heaven exists and there are Angels with white robes and peace for all the the remainder of your placed up existence in the worldwide time. in spite of the fact that, I do have self belief there's a God, no longer the God that's in photos with the white gown, long beard, halo, and each thing else, yet some form of better entity that we don't understand approximately and may be able to on no account understand approximately, yet i've got self belief there ought to be something accessible that's greater effectual than the rest, some entity that throughout fact in all different words is...God.

I do not think this can be proven. Yet, you know some folks that seem to "shine". Perhaps these people are the most caring and demonstrate compassion to all living things. One can see the most loving and most uncaring behavior in the news each day. I suggest that we have all we can handle in determining how we should live. For me at least that is all I can deal with on a day to day basis. In essence, I have my hand full trying to live what I feel is the correct way and have no time to tell you or anyone else how to live or believe.

It's depressing how many single word answers you get even though you specifically asked for evidence;
Well, I'm not religious, at all. I can neither prove, nor deny the existence of a god.
For me, logically, there is more evidence supporting NO god more-so than pro-god.
