in a regular track how many laps does it take to complete 1 mile ??

4 laps = 1 mile
12 laps =3 miles

Well, im not sure how big the track your talking about is, but at my school 4 laps if one mile, which would therefore mean that 12 laps is 3 miles.

12 laps on a quarter mile (440 yard) track
If it is a 400 meter track and you do 12 laps then you will be about 27 meters short of 3 miles.

12 laps around the track would be 3 miles becaus i have to run the mile next week and that's 4 laps around the track soooooo good luck wit that dude!!!!

Yeppers, 12 laps would be correct on a quarter mile track. That's pretty much the standard track. HELLO MP3 PLAYER! boring boring boring. I HATE tracks!

Most running tracks are 400 metres so you would need to go round 11.25 times to do 3 miles and 3.75 times to do a mile.
