i've had this pain for the last year, my gp says its not my ovaries, he cant feel any lumps, it comes when i've eaten and i sit for long periods (like at the pc) its a nagging intermittent pain which clears when i stand up and walk about, but the moment i sit, it starts up and becomes quite acute if i just ignore it...its not my appendix, doc says appendix pains dont go away, they only get worse...??!

kidney, gallbladder...
or, maybe the doctor is wrong about the appendix.
I'd get a second opinion. If your doctor will only tell you what it is NOT, but isn't running the necessary tests to determine what it IS, then you really should consider the possibility that you don't have the best doctor in the world for your needs.

There is a condition called grumbling appendix when the pain comes after you eat then goes away,it also could be P O S {a lot of little cysts on your ovaries} the doc would not be able to feel them only a scan can show them up very pain full condition, after your investigation if they still do not know i suggest a gyne doc, also get second opinion from other GP

I had a grumbling appendix for four years - where I would be in agony and then the pain just went away, and this is very common. Eventually it ruptured and I had to have emergency surgery but appendix pain does come and go!!
But if its worse after you pee then it could be bladder or kidney problems.

Gall bladder pain is intermittent and comes on after eating fatty foods especially pastry - it might worth asking your G.P. about gall stones - although its unlikely if you are aged 16 - 30 years - more likely after that and closer to 40 or later.

could well be a kidney infection. causes pain when you wee. my wife has kidney problems which sometimes cause infections. she says it feels like someone grabbing your sides and squeezing. best off seeing your gp again and maybe he/she can run tests on urine, blood etc.

maybe an ulcer but I would go get an xray to start and there are other dr's that you could see but first thing is exactly where on your right side is the pain?

If it's been going on that long have they ever said endometriosis?? That can only be diagnosed by surgery, maybe just ask your dr. what they think. It doesn't show up with ultrasounds or xrays.
