Might be good to create your own separate interests so the home focus is not primarily on your b/f. Join groups/clubs etc that you like and go out and be an active member in them - this will also sharpen your social skills as you make new interesting friends.

Have fun!

Well mabe you should have a hobby for this type of situation. Do you have any friends? You can go to the mall and just shop to take your mind off of him. It is good that he is out of town because now you have come face to face wth the fact that you have to make a life for yourself as well.
One person can not be expected to be all things to another.

Use this time while he is away to see friends and relatives. Also, decide what kinds of things that would make your life more interesting: clubs, hobbies, reading, cultural events, etc

Get out there and have some fun meeting new people!

Well there are many things that come to mind. For starters visit an old girlfriend you hadn't seen in a while. Go shopping and out to dinner. Secondly, if you have a mother that you never really get to spend time with, go visit her. Last but not least - find your favorite foods, get a good movie, a blanket, a good book and relax while you have free time for yourself.

Go out with your friends and take in a show or dinner. If you've made him your entire universe that's foolish on your part. All couples need separate time away from one another. Your social skills are fine or you wouldn't have met your boyfriend.
Now go and have fun with your friends or take your mother, sister or somebody to a show or shopping.

There is no such thing for a woman to have inadequate social skills ;P
Go to a party. Go play pool with friends. Go to the local bar. Go to the park, library, bowling ally, skating many things you could do.

Take this opportunity to find yourself. You might actually like who you are. Get a hobby, join a health club, read the book you've always wanted to read. You sound like you are quite dependent on him. If you don't find yourself, then you have nothing to offer him very soon and it's possible he will bore of you and find someone else that's more independant and likes who she is.

Unfortuately you have made your identity that of which has no identity of your own. You have become a 'piece' in his life. That is to say, you are merely backround to his life. You really should get some interests and work of your own. Try the classified section of your local newspaper. Try a community education class, learn to make pottery.

how about call all your friends that you have been ignoring. it sounds like you stoped your life for this guy, you shouldnt have. yeah, relationships take up a lot of time, but it doesnt mean you have to change who you hang out with or talk to just because it conflicts with your partners schedule. relationships are the art of comprimise, so call and old friend (a girl would probably be best so he doesnt get jealous) and go have a night out.

Just rest or relax. Get a movie you've wanted to see, get some delivery, sit back and enjoy your time alone. Before long, he'll be home and life will be a whirlwind again. Have fun.
