i suggest not because of the chemical in the mist, and just keep in mind your mouth is different than a dog's mouth. i brush my dogs teeth and her chuiha son of a guns are shiny, clean and not at all smelly. You have to buy a special toothpaste of you can do it at a groomers.

You could do that. He probably wouldn't like it much though, but it won't kill him.
What would be better though, would be to either take him to a vet, read either on the net or a book advice written BY vets, or consult on the phoine with a vet.
Dogs usually don't have the best smelling breath, but if it is unusually strong/bad, there is probably an underlying, medical reason for it and the strong breath is just a symptom of something that is hopefully treatable.
The sooner you find out what it is, the better.
Not to scare you, because there's no reason to think that it's the same, but my sister had a dog she loved very much that was perfectly healthy until a couple of months ago. He suddenly got bad breath, stopped eating, and she could see a lump growing in his mouth - like it grew from nothing to something so huge he couldn't even close his mouth all within like 2 days.
She took him to the vet. He had a biopsy and it showed cancer of the mouth. Within two more days, he was nearly dead and she had to have him put to sleep. She was very sad, still is. It all happened so quickly.
Please take your dog to the vet and don't wait even a day. It could count.

No, it is too strong for a dog. You must stay with made for dogs stuff. You know how the Listerine burns your mouth, well, then it will do the same for him, but we do not know if our mouth and theirs is the same, so I wouldn't risk it. Just stick with a good dog bone for dental cleaning. Also, check out what you are feeding him too, and consult with the pet store, if that could cause bad breath. You might could change for awhile.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU7I1
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Ooooh--- some human remedies can be really bad for dogs. I say NO. Make sure he gets the tartar-removing and minty, breath-freshening style dog biscuits. There are LOTS of breath-improving things at any big petstore, from tablets to treats to toothpaste. Yes, you can brush your dog's teeth with a little fingertip brush and they make chicken-flavored toothpaste!
How old is he? He might need a teeth-cleaning visit at the vet's.

I wouldn't - even though I can't think how it might hurt him off the bat, there's probably some sort of unknown risk...
There are quite a few products to treat bad dog breath, though - check with a local pet store. I'm sure they'll have suggestions on what to do.

I don't think I would recommend it. There are way too many breath-freshening products out there specifically for dogs, i.e. bones, mints, etc., and I don't think they'd need to exist if we could just use Listerine products.

Listerine has alcohol in it, don't give it to the cat. Go to petsmart or petco and get Greenies or some other cat treat with chlorophyll . I would also have the vet check its mouth for bad teeth or dental disease.
