OK. Let's say that God came down from heaven, and it was definately God, no questions asked. If he said: "You have 3 days to stop using the internet and repent, and all who don't listen are going to hell!" What would you do?

Not that I'm surprised by the non-religious folk, but you really just don't care if people tell you to go to hell do you? NO I don't think that you are...

Wouldn't not being able to use internet, and being in Hell, the same thing?

Depends. What kind of god is this and is he telling the truth? Why should I follow this being? He hasn't said a thing after 2000 years and he says this? That just doesn't make sense.

Of course, the question itself is meaningless. It's similar to asking whether you'd stop using the Internet and repent if Superman threatened to blow up the world.

What if Tinkerbell came and said if you don't stop using the Internet and repent, or she'll turn everybody into bunnies? Silly, right?

So is your question.

------------
And sorry, but there is no Hell to care about people going to.

I'd ask him why we have to stop using the Internet. It's not that bad, is it? And it's a staple of modern society. I'd also ask him why we should repent. Saying I'm sorry really wouldn't change what we've already done, would it?

Definitely. Spell-check?

If that were the scenario, the internet would be out of my computer as fast as I could delete it. Including work, for if God said it, he would provide a way for me to continue working without it.

God knows all and sees all, I would obey.

I would of course stop using the Internet. I haven't ahd it most of my lfie in my house but only the school or library so it wouldn't matter to me if it went away. And plus anyhting that God wants me to do i would do it without questioning Him. He knows me better than anyone else.

Since I know the Internet was a gift from God, and I know that God is a Black Female - I would ignore the spawn of Satan and continue to use the Internet...

An internet without theists? Sweet.

Tell him not to ape such a good person. I would continue to use the internet.
Hell - look to the bible - is what you make of your life here and now.
God would never be so petty - His internet is built-in!

I'm probably going to hell anyway, so I wouldn't stop using the internet.

I can't believe people are actually saying they would continue.
Obviously they don't know the reality of the choice they are making. But, it's theirs to make, and their eternity to spend regretting it!!
Me...what ever God asked me to do, as long as I knew it was God and not Satan being deceiving, I would do!! What ever!!
