I have a Newfoundland that is apx 53 days pregnant and was wondering when her milk would come in.. I have a mini-sch that had babies yrs ago . And I thought she had milk come in about aweek before she had them but i cant remember.

Normally they will start to produce milk 10-14 days before they give birth. Just by my quick calculations, she should be ready any day now. You should see her starting to try and make a nest somewhere to give birth. They might hide in a closet, or dig a den out in the yard. I would setup a place for her now as it is a lot easier to get her to adjust to a place you make now then trying to drag her away from the place she chooses. She might end up hurting puppies trying to take them back to the place she originally chose. Hope this helps, and good luck.

Well a newfoundland might have a differnent time when she is prego than your mini schnauzer since they are different breedes and different size so ask you vet for the time he might think!

pregnancy is usually between 60-64 days. "milk" could start as early as one week before, it's called something else though... Best thing to do is call your local Veterinarian...
