Nope, and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing. Some people have a hero to model after. I think I'm too independent. I don't want to be like someone else.

There are people who inspire me, but they are not celebrities or athletes. My mom inspires me with all the hardships she has gone through in her life. She became head of HR and then earned a engineering assistant certificate, even though her family couldn't afford to put her through school. I am inspired by ppl I meet while travelling. Like this nurse who volunteered 9 months in an AIDS camp in Zimbabwe trying to save babies out of 12 year old rape victims. Or this other girl who travelled to Morocco by herself trusting her karma to keep her safe. Or another one who biked all around New Zealand with her bf on a hundred bucks a piece. Or the lady I work with who is responsible for sales of all western US, is taking her bachelors of commerce at night, raising an adopted child and is donating her kidney to her husband.

I guess, many ppl have had an impact on my life.

My mother. She had alot of illnesses when I was growing up and things were hard to deal with alot but I always knew she loved me and I have always wanted and hoped that I would be as good a mother as she was to me. Only after she died did i really realize how great she was and how tough she really did have it but managed to raise me and my sister to the best of her ability, good, bad, or otherwise...
