Onions and garlic are both so good for you that they should be a part of every meal. This stupid notion of I don't eay them because they may be on my breath when I kiss is just that _stupid. If someone loves (or even likes) you, they will just eat onions and garlic too.

Green onions may be good, since they are a little more mild. Also, the trick with cooking onions is to chop them in a uniform size, so they will cook evenly, and cooked onions have a different (less sharp) flavor than raw onions.

I don't eat onions also but I add onions as required in recipes. Like you said, the taste is lacking something. Cut it bigger so when you eat the food you can just move the onions to the side.

Try a Vidalia onion. When cooked they caramalize much sweeter than a regular onion.

And of course, add a few at first to see if that is the flavor you are missing. Onions do tend to bring alot of boldness to your dishes but they are one of the legs of the cooking trinity...the base to many a fine dish.

You don't add onions to your stir fry!? My poor misguided friend, you must add the onion! Onion is the ultimate flavor enhancer. You can put it in everything and in any way; raw, sauteed, carmelized, sweated, baked. Onion is good for you, buddy my friend. Put it in the next stir fry for crying out loud.

Try shallots if you don't like onions, they have a milder taste than regular onions. But if you don't like them then no don't add them use something else like fresh ginger, fresh garlic or corriander. I don't like peppers and don't put them in my stir fry and I don't find I'm missing out!

Onions are a strong food (like jalapenos, and olives) and usually you either like them or you don't.

I would suggest to stick with what you like. You can add many veggies and spices. These will provide much flavor and you won't be missing a thing!!!

I love onions and put them in everything so right away I would say yes but you could be missing something else...try some fresh giger. That could be the taste you are missing.

Yeah, I would add some, but they would have to be cooked enough. I can't stand the taste of raw onions.

For stir-fry.....USE CHOPPED GREEN ONIONS (also known as CHIVES)

It'll give you the great onion-y kick that you're looking for, plus wonderful color.
