my best friend is getting a baby duck and wants to know if when its older it will have the same color as it does now

no..it will be white and with feathers

I've heard there is a species of ducks that loose their crown feathers as they get older. Sort of like men growing bald with age.

No, it will change. Look the type of duck up online and look how it will look as an adult.

no, there is juvinile plumage and adult plumage...so yes it will change as it gets older.
