she was raped about nine months ago. She just started telling her close friends now because she was so embarrased. She just had his kid also. She gave it up for adoption.

The two most common date rape drugs are Rohypnol (roofies) and Gamma Hydroxy Butrate (GHB or Easy-Lay)

Neither of these drugs produces the effects of speed. ("Speed" is actually a generic term used to refer to any strong stimulant such as amphetamine, methamphetamine, etc)

However, MDMA (ecstasy) is also classfied as a date rape drug by the law enforcement agencies in the US and Canada. It is not a preferred date rape drug because it does not cause memory impairment (like Rohypnol or GHB) but it may cause reduced inhibitions.

Rohypnol is manufactured as a powerful sedative that is 10x stronger than valium. Until recently, it came in a small cross-hatched pill that was tasteless, odorless, and dissolved readily into juices, carbonated beverages, and alcohol.

The manufacturer, realizing the implications of this drug, changed it so that it now produces a bright blue color, as well as forming small white chunks that float on the surface.

Most date rape drugs are depressants and intended to sedate the victim into submission. Speed is a stimulant and is not normally used as a date rape drug, but can be used to lower inhibitions and encourage promiscuous behavior.

Unfortunately there isn't much that can be done after 9 months.

If you feel that you have been the victim of date rape (such as waking up in a strange place, blackouts, a feeling of having had sex but not remembering it) be sure to collect a urine sample within the next 24 hours which should be tested for the drug.

Enough of any drug could knock you out. How long ago was she raped? Speed stays in the system longer than date rape drugs, she needs to have an examination.

If I'm not mistaken, Speed is a stimulant... so how could that guy rape her if she's wide awake (granted she has no recollection what happened). BUt then again, I heard that women are more suceptible to have unsafe sex while under the influence (ex: Ecstacy, Alcohol and/ weed). I suggest she takes a tox screen... there's probably some trace of the substance that lead to her rape.

Speed does increase your sex drive but doesnt inhibit your decision making abilities enough for it to be called rape, its not like GHB you remeber everything and actually sex is more enjoyable for females on speed so if was speed then she probably wasnt raped just was horny and regretted it the next day. It happens.

Sorry to hear about your friend. Yeah, I think it is a date rape drug, along with other things like ecstasy and angel dust.

Speed would not be a drug someone would use for that. Speed elevates your heart rate, very hard to pass out while on speed.
