What led up to the War. some key factors in the war including problems they faced. who lost and how. and how it affects us americans. please help me! How do i set it up so that it equals 3 pages

Writing takes practice. I suggest you:

1) Come up with a basic outline for your paper.
2) Create paragraphs from the information you find.
3) Order the paragraphs to fit the outline.
4) Add an introduction and a conclusion paragraph.

Don't forget to proof read it and make adjustments as needed. Don't simply state things you learn. Explain them. Assume the reader doesn't know anything about the subject.

you could buy a paper off of the internet but most teachers know how to figure it out. by the way im a senior and i have only written one four-page paper. are you in an A.P. class? anyways you want to start with what led up to the war in your second paragraph. the first one should be entirely dedicated to introducing your topic. something like "the french and indian war was a real bad war" except not that retarded sounding. your thesis statement should be in the first paragraph, preferably the first sentence. so the second paragraph is the star of the war and about why it happened. the third should be about the ramifications or consequences of the war. the fourth paragraph should be about what happened to end the war or what happens after the war if it had no reason for ending. the fifth paragraph should be a conclusion telling about the war in a more general way. a summary. i dont know alot about the french and indian war but i write books and stuff so papers are like second nature. most of the time you can B.S. the paper so long as it sounds like you know what you are talking about.if you need help you can email me at panchoyzorro@yahoo.com. ill be checking it again today within a couple of hours. good luck!! have fun...:o

You won't master it for a few more years. I know some people who still never mastered it. I majored in English then decided I didn't like it that much. In your case, you already know what you have to write, so type out a draft and see where you stand. Then go back and add details to make the paper clearer and easier to read. It's not hard, just use the facts you have and know and you'll be fine.

The first step is to take the information you have gathered and come up with a basic point that you want to make with your paper. That will then become the paper's thesis - or "main point".

Don't worry about including every piece of information you have gathered. Just use the information that relates to your main point.

After that I basically agree with Makawao. The introduction should state your main point and briefly outline the evidence you will use to prove it.

The body of the paper should include all of the evidence you have gathered that relates to the main point. Make sure you write why each piece of evidence is important to your point or it will just feel like the paper is thrown together.

The conclusion should restate the main point and briefly review how you have shown what you planned to show.

Hope that helps.

1/2 page intro - say what you will talk about.
2 pages talk about your subject (Each 1/2 page per subject = 2pages).
1/2 page summarize.
3 pages total.

That is the basic premise for any paper you will ever need to write.

I tell all my students to follow that pattern. They write excellent papers.
