I really like this guy . I've been seeing him for 8 months... he doesn't trust me... or beleave i'm a one man woman everything i say he thinks is a lie... i want him to trust me... He can't properly respect me if he doesn't trust me. I've lied to him do to his lack of understanding... or fear of judgement

You can't demand anything. You either earn it or you don't.
There must be some reason why he doesn't trust you.
Without trust, there is no relationship anyway.

No trust - no relationship.
You don't trust him so you lie? Guess that backfired, now he thinks everything you say is a lie, and doesn't trust you.
You are who you are because of your life decisions. We all do things we wish we hadn't, but stand up and take credit for them anyway. Honesty is more important than you think. Learn and move on.

Well, even if he doesn't love you, he should respect you and your feelings. If he doesn't know how to do that, then I'm afraid he doesn't know what love is. You treat others the way you want to be treated. And lying is not recommended unless your relationship is at a crucial and peak point, and you have to hold certain things in order not to hurt your partner.
