I heard that dogs lick carpets out of boredom. If you want to get him to stop try buying him some new toys and lots of bones.

Well he could be peeing on the chair because he smells another animal and wants to mark his terriotry or he has a unirary infection of some sort. I'd take him to the vet. And the licking of the capet, you could have dropped something on the carpet or there is a salty taste to it. I know that my cats will lick the couch, because they can taste salt or something taste good there.

I'm not sure.Did another dog besides yours pee on the carpet?Maybe your dog detects the odor of another dog.

your dog may be lickin the carpet because there is somthin there or maybe somthin there from a long time ago and it never got cleaned good enough or maybe it smells another dog or cat there.
