the world is coming to an end, of course. but, besides that.... down to the nitty gritty. for thousands of years, people have complained that God is mean and bloodthirsty. OK, so let's say this. God wants us to make our own decisions so why do innocent people die? Because of humans! NOT BECAUSE OF GOD! God can't force us to do anything. Let's say God forced us to do everything. Then, there would be complaining about how He controls us! So what will it be? Him controlling us and people still complain, or Him letting us decide and still complain? No wonder God has just about given up.... look at the idiots all around!

He has the power to force us, yet, won't because that would be contrary to our free will! So, I'm tired of the bickering about "God is mean," "God doesn't exist," whatever. Believe whatever you want... you just may end up in Hell, with no chance of ever escaping the sulfur and fire!

I think that people that don't believe want to say that HE created humans, so why are we not perfect? If He is 'nice' then so many bad things wouln't happen. He has the power to stop everything bad, but He doesn't. We seem to forget about free will and how the flesh 'speaks' and tells us what to do and what not to do. Although I am a Chirstian, I have so many faults and sin everyday. We all do! There is not one of us here on Earth that is sinless. We do have choices and KNOW what the bad ones are and we seem to choose the bad over the good sometimes. That little voice in you that Knows our choices are good or bad is God whispering to us. God made us with the ability to praise Him. It is in all of us, and some shoose to go with that and some don't. I think the difference is that I can feel a sinkin in me if I make the wrond decision for me or my kids and I listen to ti and know what will be the best.

For instance, I decided not to go back to school this semester to take time off for me.. It was a tugging feeling that I had and I didnt go back to school.

My sister gets engaged to a man we dont know after 3 months, and had a drikning problem, my mom will have no where to live after she moves out (she can alwys stay with me) My house will have three kids in it already and there will be no room, but mom is welcome. My grandmother is thinking she wants all these tests done for her help... shes 90 and we have been throuhg all this as well. My 18 yea old son had to go to af rends funeral today. Suicide with gun to head. This is he 4th funeral my 18 year old had to go to because of suicides. My other sister wants to get divorced from her husband now and it will be a MESS!!! So i guess the whisper I heard was God telling me tostay home and take care of yourself and family! I could be wrong, but know God alway has a hand in my life coaxing me along when I want to do well with others.

I grew up in an athiest household. I was taught that the Bible was written by a bunch of men with a good story to give people false hopes and to give them a reason to accept things. How is it that I as an athiest new about God and how He made me feel when I wasn't taught how to do so? Did I imagine those feelings as a young teen? No God gave me those feelings. I dated a boy when I was 15 that had a preacher for a dad and I went to church with him every Sunday. I cried the first time I walked in that church, I felt weakened yet full of strength at the same time. I accepted that this was real and not lies by my overwhelming feelings I felt. I was filled with the spirit that day and I knew this is what it was all about.

I am 42 now and still have the faith. Things have not been perfect for me and although I have not questioned my faith, I have wondered if God ever hears me, and HE does. i yell at God for what I go through, but then I am calmed by His grace and understanding. I look to him for comfort not to ask for the world.

I dont know everything there is to know about God and His Son. But if you accept that Jesus was here for US and only US, then things might look differenty he was here to give us the chance to go to heaven.

I do however know the feeling when God talks to you and you can hear him whispering to you, AWESOME feeling. Don't want to let go. IT stays with me short time and long time. I wish I could talk to someone about this....you up to listening my story X?

I fell from that church and felt like something lost, got into another and felt good, and another and felt better, the found my home church and love it. I pray everynight. and try to think about what is in the Bible I can read, or have books with stories and where to study these books. I don't always do it, but i try.

Agreed, though I am a Christian, so probably can't see it from other people's views.

If you are an Atheist and think that God dosn't exist, you cannot possibly say that God is mean, that is just ridiculous. Whatsmore, you have no reason, let alone right, to say that God does not exist. What have you to gain from that?

You are right my friend! Yes, let's not forget that Jesus died for our sins. How else could we live our lives?

Well, it may just be me, but I think being controlled and not having to worry about being raped or murdered or having food tomorrow would be preferable.

If God is not going to do something about the "bad" people, then who's responsibility is it?

If God really loved people, wouldn't security be a better gift than free will? I'm serious. I truly don't understand the argument.

"The fool who thinks he is wise is just a fool. The fool who knows he is a fool is wise indeed"

You have no proof of anything you just said. When it comes to the divine all are ignorant, it is better to embrace this fact than to claim you have all of the answers when you clearly do not.
