I am going to assume you are serious...And my first point is this: you are wrong that gays can't breed. Who says that a gay person can not procreate? And the proper verb is plural, "why ARE there so many..."

There are two schools of thought. 1) Choice, the result of environment and society and such caused them to choose this particular lifestyle. 2) Heredity, they got the genes which made them that way.

I personally think the former rather than the latter. So, if it is by choice, we will always have some portion who choose that route. And if the latter, think of it like the gene for blue eyes. Only 1 in 4 childred will NOT carry the gene into the next generation. The 3 of 4 which DO carry the gene into the next generation have the ability to pass it on. Just because one gay person does not procreat, doesn't mean the gene isn't passed on by the people who don't know they even carry it. If like blue eyes, 3 of 4 will procreate with 2 of the 3 passing the gene on. As with blue eyes, 2 of 4 in each generation will (on average) carry the gene whether gay or not. With 50% of the population having the gene, it is in a sort of equilibrium Don't be looking for blue eyes to drop out of the population any time soon. But then, if there is a gay gene, and it acts like the blue eye gene, then it too, will never die out of the population. Of course, this assumes it is a recessive gene because being gay does not predominate in the population. Of course, there is also another contributor to passing on genes, the gay person who plays straight, family and all. I'll bet the number of closet gays is high enough to keep the genes in circulation.

I think there is a 3rd possibility, mutations in the population. Evolution, if you will, a variation of the gene theory. The tree of life branches through mutation and being gay is simply an evolutionary dead-end, which means gays will never become the majority in the population. Aren't you happy now? Knowing that gays will never dominate and become the majority?

The gay population is not self populating, yet it is rapidly growing. I consider it to be a new fad. It is definitely not something you are born with. Nothing has ever supported it as such with the exception of statements and feelings from homosexuals. Statistically many homosexuals are those that have been sexually abused as children. It also is difficult to support the love is about love... If I loved an animal and wanted a relationship there, does that make it alright just because it's about love and not breeding?
