They make me so upset because they are not a true representation of Christ. They turn people off of Christianity. They take verses in the Bible totaly out of context and they use them to proove their point. Thats not what the Bible is for.
I am a Christian but I try SOOO hard to not be like those kinds of Christians...they are a disgrace to Christianity and our Lord.

I love all Christians... You are being judgmental and hypocritical by not accepting them, right or wrong. How can you point fingers at their faults? Christians are not the ones we have to worry about, as they accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. I stand by my brothers, not against them.

I hate them. I'm a preacher's daughter and my dad was like that. To be completely honest, because of him and some of the personal issues his hypocritical and judgemental nature had on me, for a very long time, i questioned God becuase everything my dad said and did was contradictory. I'm still dealing with whether i'm a Christian or not, but even so, I'm in no way about to judge other religions. i've studied about them extensively and I don't see the point in judging them. according to Christianity, God gave us free will and we have the right to use it. We have the right to decide to believe what we want. I agree. "Christians" like that are annoying and cast a very negative light on Christianity.

I do not like what they do. I do not like them; I LOVE THEM! Yes, it is sad that there are those in the fold who practice their faith this way. However, the true Christian is unwavered by them. The true Christian knows their personal sins also contributes to the hypocrits and judgmental persons dispositions. For example, one can critique them, but it must have the hope and means for their improvement within it. If not, then the judgmental one will see what is said as an insult or a unjust indictment on them. And they would be correct even if what is said to them was truth. Why? Because what is said lacks hope and charity for them.
A true Christian has hope for them in that the mercy and joy they preach will be the mercy and joy they show to others or none would be merciful and joyful towards them. It is our faith in God that through His grace they will come to a greater knowledge of God and neighbor.
It is our duty not to imitate and avoid such BEHAVIOURS, but not to avoid them.
The greatest test for the true Christian is being unjustly lumped into their group, but still remain merciful and joyful towards all. That is to remain unshaken in the midst of false accusations and not let our passions overule us. That is to still claim them as our brothers and sisters in Christ.
In short, we love them and will always pray for them that they may change for the better. And where is there a better place for a sinner to find the cure but in Christ and His Church. So, should we be shocked that so many who are in the Church or ecclesial communities are judgemental and hypocritical? Show them mercy, show them love, have hope for them, be an example to them, give them time and they will be hypocrits and judges no longer.
May the Lord bless and keep you. May He let the light of His face shine upon you.
God's and your beast of burden

I agree. I too am a Christian but I strongly feel that it's not the "heathens" that need my ministry the most - but fellow Christians! They judge, they take the Bible out of context and use their gifts to push people AWAY from Jesus and Christianity. I'm not saying that Christianity is the ONLY right path, but why unnecessarily push people away?

I agree. It happens in every religion, and in every walk of life. You will see it everywhere. Christian or not. There will always be a few who can't see any other side but their own. Get used to it. No use stressing over it.

No one does! They are not a very good model of a christian because the bible says "judge not lest ye be judged".

It's not just Christians.
Anyone who is judgmental and hypocritical should really take a step back and rethink their views.

I am happy that you have vowed not to be like one of those retarded imbiciles. Yes, they are the #1 reason that I am now an atheist.
