Simply Muslims believe in monotheism and Hindus believe polytheism to be the various aspects of a monotheistic God. Fundamental Muslims believe in a theocracies which is often interpreted as not being tolerant towards other religions, especially outside the people of the book (i.e. Christians, Jews, and Muslims).

There are many Muslims that live in India some of them especially the ones near Pakistan want to be "independent" from India. Their aim is to create an Islamic state.

India is not specifically a Hindu state though they do hold the majority vote. In my view the more areas you let separate into theocracies the more others will follow suit, especially if their numbers grow from one area to another. If this insanity is not counter it will be only a matter of time before there will be no places of freedom left.
