the processes of evaporation and transpiration are often combined when referring to earth water cycle. why?..please and thanks

evaporation and transpiration are similiar in that water is moved into the gas phase which rises into the air to form clouds and participate in the water cycle. Transpiration is a form of evaporation from plants. Particularly when water is lost when the stomata open to take in gases like CO2.
