We all know that 70 percent of the earth is covered with water. But we seldom think why it is blue?.
Sea water is blue as it reflects the colour of sky.
Another reason that I have found is that 98% of parts of the sea world have particles that absorbs all colours from sun light and reflects back only blue colour. Not just the particles, most of the sea life either reflects blue or reflects green color.

The earth is often referred to as the blue planet because of the presence of water. It is the only planet we know of that has liquid water present. This water, which covers a large portion of the planets surface is blue, thus it is called the blue planet due to that appearance.

Mars looks red from space. Jupiter looks orange-ish and swirly. Earth, due to the water, looks blue. Hmmmm.
