The latter-- There are WAY MORE terrorists in Iraq because we invaded and didn't secure the country properly.
Its is their proving ground now for new ways to conduct their sort of warfare.

The terrorists (as well as WMD's) were in Iraq before we invaded.....period. If not, all the people in the links below are liars and the Dems would actually have some explaining to do.
P.S. I'm for neither party, but I'm tired of all this crap over the war. It's time we stand behind something and support it.

Oh, I get it, the chicken and the egg concept!
Arab terrorists have been around for as long as I can remember! American invasion of Iraq would have been so much more credible had bill clinton done his job.
The fact is, Iraq violated the UN charter it had agreed to, almost from the day it started, and all the genius clinton could do was draw a line in the sand. If you cross this line, we will attack your aircraft, tanks, troops or whatever else you send.
To add insult to injury, when American aircraft would patrol the no-fly zone, regularly Saddam would send up missles to attack our aircraft, yet clinton did nothing about it.
So, especially to all those clinton loving liberals, you can thank that goddamn shameless coward clinton, for where we are today, with our battle against the war mongerers of the middle east!

Saddam did not trust terrorists, he is too egocentric, and could not stand to have someone else take credit for anything he was a part of. In fact, Saddam tried to have Al-Zarqawi arrested when he found out he was in Baghdad after 9/11. Unfortunately, by the time he found out where he was, he had disappeared again.

I think it is widely accepted at this point by analysts in both parties that our continued presence in Iraq is breeding more terrorists than it is thwarting. The angrier we make the extremists, the more likely they are to retaliate. That is basically what 9-11 was: a retaliation for America's bullying. They were finally tired of being threatened and killed in the name of oil.
