Do you think Christians would commit less sins if Jesus didn't die for their sins and saved them? Don't you think this assurance of Paradise to Christians make them commit more sins? Because they would be like.... ah let me sin, I am saved anyway, I can repent later in the confession room.
So the question is, would there be less sins?
P.S And if you think yes, then don't you think Original Sin concept had no place in the real Christianity (before people corrupted it)?

To Kingreef777: Please note that the question is directed to Christians and it is posed according to their belief. If I would have posed the question according to my belief, it would have been confusing for them. And they would start giving me answers that he really was the one on the cross...etc
We Muslims believe Jesus (peace be upon him) didn't die, he was raised to Heaven by Allah. On the cross was Judas, who made to look like Jesus (pbuh).

No one is assured entrance into paradise. Sure you can ask for forgiveness of your sins, but you have to be truly repentant and you are supposed to try to not commit the same sin over and over. Otherwise your plea for forgiveness was not made in earnest. God is the only one who can judge because he knows what is really in your heart. The fruit of your tree is clearly visible to the discerning eye of the Lord.

Heres the thing. Yes you can be forgiven but at the same time there is an expiration date on God's offer of eternall salvation. Nobody knows when that is though. If the second coming occors befor you "get right with Jesus" you missed your chance. If you die before you "get right with Jesus", again you missed your chance. So with those two very unpredictable times dictating your salvation it leaves the choice to the sinner. So many people think they can sin their life away and then make their religous commitment just as their life comes to a close and think all is well. I believe those people are mistaking. You are either all for God or all against God. He sees no grey area, simply black and white, right and wrong. If someone stood at your door talking trash about you and you started to close you door, then that person started being nice to you as you closed the door to you house that had the big screen TV in it..... would you let them in? Another point of your questions I think you need some clarity on is the defifition of repent. If your doing blow off a hookers belly today asking for forgiveness for it tonight knowing good and well the hookers bringing more blow tomarrow... you havent truley repented. Part of repentance is giving an honest effort to do right by God. Furthermore, If He didn't give his life would there even be a Heaven? Or would the world be full of people playing God?

Jesus did die on the cross. This is backed up by Roman and jewish documents at the time since he was convicted in a roman court.
Since sin is bad and deserved punishment, then punishment had to be done by someone pure and perfect, to be acceptable to god. Jesus died voluntarily to take the punishment for sins, IF people repented of their sins and looked to God for forgiveness. He taught that we have to turn away from our sins or we cannot be forgiven...Judas killed himself and was found later....
I think the confusion is between what Jesus really taught, which is in the bible, and what the catholic church may have taught before their reformation. In the early days, many people could not read or write. As people became more educated and could read the bible for themselves, they found out what Jesus really taught, and followed this instead.

One of the things some people fail to realize is that we don't just have to confess our sins, we have to repent. Repenting means turning away from the sin and trying to not repeat it. And we aren't promised a "later". We may think we'll confess later but there may not be a "later". Whether there would be less sinning or not isn't the real question, if you think about it. Because if Jesus hadn't died for our sins, there wouldn't be Christians and there would be no way to get to Heaven. The only way to get to Heaven is by Jesus.

In the first place, Jesus Christ died for everyone. Anybody that believes Jesus died for them and will ask for forgiveness directly to Jesus Christ our Lord can be saved. If you are sincere in what you ask, you want to do right and try not to sin, but we are only human and still have a sin nature. Jesus was the only human that was ever perfect and did not sin. I believe Jesus Christ did die for our sins and don't want to think what the world would be like if he had not. I think there would still be very much sin because we are only human and are not perfect.

There would be no one called christians if Jesus didn't die for the sins of all. So people would just keep sinning as usual.
People who calle themselves christians and continue deliberately sinning are in for trouble cos God isn't stupid. Here's what he has to say on that subject:
Galatians 6:7,8 (The Bible)
7Don't be misled. Remember that you can't ignore God and get away with it. You will always reap what you sow! 8Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful desires will harvest the consequences of decay and death. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.
There is no assurance of paradise if you continue sinning. God isn't mocked.

No, there would be the same amount of sins.
This is a good but common misconception about people that are truly "saved," "reborn"...however someone wants to refer to it. Well, since I'm guaranteed eternal salvation why not just go out and sin all I want, since their will be no repercussions at least spiritually for it. This is completely false because someone who is saved has "died to themselves," that means they try their best to live their life to be acceptable to the Lord. They reject the world and start focusing on heaven and what is really important in life. They try to see things as God does and not as the world sees things. Someone who is saved will strive not to sin because they know that sin is detestable to God. We still sin, but God, through the Holy Spirit is constantly nudging us and reminding us of the righteous path we need to get back on.

It wouldn't matter if we sinned or not if Jesus had not died on the cross for us. He opened the door for the Gentiles, without Him only the Jews or God's few elect would have any hope of salvation.
Also the OT would still be in effect and all the taboos that go with it.

Christians would all stop sinning if Jesus were here and alive as they proclaim.
They then would be accountable directly to Him!!!
We all know thats not going to happen ,so we continue to follow what rules we want to obey .
IT is only a BELIEF not a true Fact that he exists.
