I have a paper airplane for physics tomorrow, and I have made at least 10 different airplanes. However, they go 8 meters. I need one that goes at least 11-12 meters for an inexperienced airplane tosser. Please give me detailed instructions. I will give 10 POINTS today to whoever with the best plane.

PS. We're throwing the plane down a ramp. That could affect distance.

Check this guy out. His plane is simple, but if you do it right, it will be able to cross 11 meters from the ramp.

Just do your usual airplane then at the tip of the airplane just clip on one of those paper clip for long distance travel. Next on the left and right wing about 1/4 of an inch cut a little nip about 1/4 by 1/4 of an inch. Then fold it and reshape it back to 90 degree of the wings. Do several airplanes and adjust your cut so that it will fly 11 - 12 meters. Good luck.

After the 45 degree wing folds, do it again so that the wing angle is 22 1/2 degrees off the axis.

Listen when u said there is a slope in the planes launch then u should make double wings on each side and curve it at an arc of 60 degress! SO THEN THE SLOPE WON'T AFFECT THE DISTANCE!

Fold an airplane into a basic airplane then you fold the wing real small and make your folds relly tight try it it worked for me send an email if you have questions and ill give you more detail!

When we did this for intro to engineering the winning group just wadded the paper in a ball and threw it. I don't know if they'll accept that, but its a thought.

PS. There is now a rule against this method in the class

Make the wings bigger. You will get more glide that way. Add a little weight to the center (CG) of the plane.
