OK, get creative here. Sure you can just not answer the door, but what is the best and funniest way to have some fun with these folks? (Demand to see Michael Jackson?)

Extra points if your solution will also work with Mormon Missionaries. (Back your minivan over their bikes?)

I would act like I was a homocide detective and ask them how well they knew the "deceased", what their alibi was for one hour previous, why were they there, and demand proof. I would ask for their ID and tell them you want to run a license check to see if they have any "priors". Act like you want to "detain" them until their alibi and ID is clear.

Well, for Jehovah's witnesses, what I've done that really works well, and it helps your neighborhood is to just get rid of them is to have a friend/family member do some satanic chants and screams in the background as you open the door, and say something along the lines of "Do you mind? We're a bit busy here."

Now comes for the fun part. Instead of leaving them be, you get to be the bothersome person! As they leave, follow behind them! If they happen to have bikes, get in your car or a bike of your own and follow them around your neighborhood. When they go up to a neighbors house, do something that just draws them away from their preaching, like making funny faces so your neighbors laugh them. Or start an arguement such as "Why won't you talk to me?! DIDN'T IT MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU?!" You'll drive them away for the day, and if you're feeling majorly zealous follow them to the next neighborhood.

So far, I haven't heard from another JW since.

Answer the door naked.
My large and forbidding ex-husbnad rolled out from under his truck with a big hammer in his hand, and said, "If you don't get off my property, I'm going to get up."
They ran off and we were never bothered again.
Yeah, they are peaceful and loving people, uh-huh, but they are relentless if you don't do something radical.
I have NEVER gone door-to-door to tell people they are wrong and need to get with my program.
OK, guilty, I sold cookies as a 12-year-old Girl Scout, but that was it.
I was too busy raising wonderful bright children, volunteering to help other people, and working full time to be pestering people.
Ask anyone--they are pests. Is it the idea to dog people into submission? It does not work.
I think they could use a little more of the "take the beam out of your own eye" school of missionary work.
Mormons? Just start laughing-they are a joke-like Scientologists and palm-readers..
To respond to achtung, is there such a thing as being an adult a reasoning, intelligent, coherent adult who is perfectly capable of looking up watchtower if I wanted to learn about your religion? I would not go out of my way to aggravate people into listening to me. From you and others, I get the impression that if I come to a different conclusion than you do, I need your guidance, and prayer to get right. How arrogant is that?
Just because someone disagrees with you, does not make them wrong! Get a life.

For Mormons:
Ask them if they are virgins and tell them that they are early...
the sacrifice will be held at 3:00PM...

For Jehovas Witnesses -
Tell them that you are not afraid to have them Baker-acted and you know where they live... A threat to call DCFS or the IRS works just as well as many of them have unclaimed children and don't pay taxes...

As a side note - I completely support their right to practice as they see fit... but keep it off my doorstep! I've read the blatant lies in the Watchtower and other such publications... the things they get some people to believe are truly amazing!

But honestly, the best way to stump any religious propaganda artist is to volunteer only to listen and refuse to answer any questions... All of their recruitment tactics are built on guilt and societal pressure... If they don't know anything about you, then they don't know where to start. That leaves them to explain their ridiculous theories and leave your house feeling doubtful of themselves for a change.

It's better to have a half-butt religion than no religion at all.
Half my family is Witness. They believe we will be resurrected
to a fleshly body to live on the Earth forever and ever.
Show them 1 Corinthians 15:50 in THIER Bible. It says plainly,
"Flesh and blood, cannot inherit the Kingdom of God."
Unless of course, my pointing that out to the Witness
headquarters in Brooklyn years ago, made them print up new Bibles with different wording. But I doubt that.

One time I saw them coming from out the window. I waited inside looking through the peep hole. Right when they got to the door and were about to knock, I knocked loudly on the door from the inside. They looked at each other & were very confused. They tried to knock again and I did the same. Eventually they left but I had a hell of a fun time while they were there. LOL.

I am in az. And the best way to get the MORMONS and Jehovahs Witness to get them to leave your house and NOT COME BACK (for at least a very long time). Is ask them a biblical question they can't anwser. They will know you are not interested in thier faith and you are firm in what the bible says and they can't anwser your question....they won't want to come back (they are only looking for uninformed people.
Ex. John 20:28 says in thier scriptures "Jesus is THE LORD of me and the God of men". Ask them if that scripture says Jesus is THE GOD OF THOMAS then ask them to call Jesus The God of them. They might at first try and sway your question or give a different anwser but bring them back to the question "can you call Jesus your God". They will be internally frusterated......tell them like Thomas you can call Jesus YOUR GOD....and they will pretting much black list you....both religions have a map of everybody and town and will black list some off.
For the Mormons you can't use the same ex. but same advice...when you stump thier belifs they will know your not interested and leave.
(Ex. for mormon....ask them if Jesus created the world (as Colosians 1:16 says).....then say if LDS says Jesus name is ONLY Jehovah and the father is ONLY Elohim why is Jesus called Eohim (the Hebrew translation of GOD) in Gensis 1:1. you see friend Jesus is Jehovah and ELohim contrary to LDS belif.
I know this anwser helps..
Thanks for allowing me the privilage of anwsering.
John

This so-called "question" is shameful.

Every true Christian goes from door to door to teach his neighbors about the Bible's good news. It is interesting that only Jehovah's Witnesses are so clearly identified with the preaching work; globally more than 6 million preach publicly each month.

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you.

(Acts 5:42) Every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.

(Acts 20:20) I did not hold back ...from teaching you publicly and from house to house

It's sad when someone who claims to respect the bible actually insults or even advocates attacking a peaceful preacher. Sad but completely expected.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching... You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

Incidentally, the typical Jehovah's Witness knocks at hundreds of doors each year. He has already experienced degrading behavior from householders, some of whom: stand there naked, mimic Satanists, proposition lewd acts, brandish weapons, sic dogs, scream profanities, accuse crimes, and call Witnesses anti-American (inside the USA) or pro-American (outside the USA).

Fascists have called Witnesses "communists". Communists have called Witnesses "fascists".

Haven't you ever heard of 'hedging your bets'? Simple risk vs. reward analysis should make anyone very reluctant to abuse these ministers.

(Acts 5:38,39) I say to you, Do not meddle with these men, but let them alone; (because, if this scheme or this work is from men, it will be overthrown; but if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them;) otherwise, you may perhaps be found fighters actually against God.”

Jehovah's Witnesses are going to knock on your door unless you specifically and unequivocally tell them that you do not want them knocking, or if they fear for their own safety. Nothing else will really deter them, so you would be going to a lot of effort to accomplish nothing but pleasing Satan.

Really, if someone goes out of their way to disregard Christian preachers and preaching, what is he saying about himself?

(Luke 10:1-17) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos... “He that listens to you listens to me too. And he that disregards you disregards me too. Moreover, he that disregards me disregards also him that sent me forth.”

A Spiritualist minister answered the door to Jehovah Witnesses'. The JW's suggested they would teach from the bible. The minister asked which version? so he could get his own book. Then they said that we needed to learn about Jesus. The minister opened his bible and said: What do you want to know?
