My granola recipe is already using oatmeal.

My receipe is also using wheat germ and oatmeal.

I already have a receipe. I just need to know a replacement for soy grits or suggestion of where to find in Houston, Tx.

GRANOLA CEREAL

2 c. old fashioned oats
1 c. shredded coconut
1/2 c. wheat germ
1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts or almonds
1 tsp. salt
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
1/4 c. oil
1 1/2 c. raisins

Combine oats, coconut, wheat germ, nuts and salt in a large bowl. Stir in condensed milk. Add oil and mix thoroughly. Spread mixture on a shallow baking pan lined with wax paper. Bake at 300 degrees, stirring occasionally, for 1 hour or until golden. Remove from oven and stir in raisins while still warm. Cool and store in tightly covered container.

2/3 c. honey
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. wheat germ
5 c. oatmeal
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tbsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. raisins

Mix all ingredients, except raisins. Spread on jelly roll pan or cookie sheet and bake 20 minutes at 325 degrees. Remove from oven and stir in raisins. Store in air-tight container when cooled.
