Because even if they say they "hate" America it's usually way better here than anywhere else. With that said, let's not forget that US citizens have a right to criticize our government. If we did not have that right we wouldn't be a democracy. Plus criticism and debate is a good thing. Just because somebody criticizes Bush or criticizes the decisions made by our government doesn't mean they "hate" America.

Criticism and debate bring about better laws - if people didn't have the right to criticize or protest women and black people still wouldn't be able to vote. there would be no "minimum wage." There are lots of things that would not have happened here in America if people didn't criticize and protest to bring about change.

Right, how can you hate the "Idea" of a country like America? It is what the people living here make it be!
Be good for wherever you are! Not some sniveling, whining, cry-baby brat who wastes everybody's time crying about an idea.

They are choosing to be part of the problem instead of the solution! They are thereby free to go.

A lot of people here don't hate the US but don't like what we are doing. Luckily all those people aren't leaving. Over the past couple of centuries they are the ones who have helped us approach greatness.

Incidentally, America is a continent which includes Canada and Mexico.

The people that hate America do and have left the country.

I think what you're trying to ask is why don't people who love america but hate the Republicans leave, and the answer of course is we're not going anywhere, and we're taking our g** d*** country back, so deal with it. Or leave yourself!

I don't think there are many people who live here who hate america. I think there are people who disagree with the way it is currently running or some of the policies that are in place - but I don't think there are any Americans who hate it here.

There my be some foreign folks who hate it here that stay because this is the best place to earn a lot of money quickly. I know lots of people who hate their jobs, but never leave them - I think it is similar.

Peace!

People that supposedly hate America wont leave because they know that wherever they go, it will not be as nice as it is here. Even though they know this, they continue to rant and rave about their country and how much better it is. The fact of the matter is, there is no other country that provides the opportunity we do or the freedom that we do.I have yet to understand why they complain and bash this country. I guess it will always be one of those "unknowns"

That's the great thing about the US - you have the right to think/feel/speak whatever you may think or feel!

I'm being quibbly - I actually do know the type of person you're talking about. They're not the type of person who complains while at the same time, is trying to make things better. They're just "curse the darkness" types.

But still, it's nice to live where you can hate where you live! Know what I mean?

Do you mean North America, South America or Central America?

New flash #2: Americans that disagree with American decisions doesn't equate to hating America; they want to see America change for the better, in which they are part of. They love America just as you, who seems to agree with everyhing America does.

I don't know why. Maybe the cream of the crop is here. Like Chris Rock said:"Black folks look at America a little differently. We love America, but we have to look at it like the Uncle who raped us, but gave us money to go to college." That was too funny. I am never leaving this country, for those haters. Bye.
