There are so many!

You can get a spool of yarn and have the guest guess the length of yarn that fits around the mother's belly.

This one is a favorite. Get about 10 small diapers and 10 different types of candy bars. Mash 1 candy bar in each of the diapers. The guest try and guess the brand of candy bar in each diaper.

Have the mommy to be walk around with a tray caring various baby items then leave. Give the guest a paper and pencil. Whoever guess the most number of items on the tray wins.

Do a baby item word scramble.

Put several close pins on a hanger. Have each guest, using one hand, take as many pins on the hanger off without dropping them. Whoever gets the most wins.

You can have a drinking contest where the guest can drink out of a bottle. Whoever finishes first wins.

You can also make some little cloth diapers to pin on each guest. One diaper can be the dirty one. Whoever gets the dirty one wins.

I was at a shower last week where the hostess made a page listing desirable traits (eyes, mouth, feel, hair, personality...). The guest had to pick if the mother wanted her child to have these traits from the father or from her. Whoever gets the most correct wins.

Have fun!

Make up blank Bingo cards. Have guests write what they think the mom-to-be will get as gifts in the Bingo card. Whoever gets Bingo first wins!

Buy thank you notes and envelopes in advance. As each guest arrives hand them an envelope. Have them write their name and address on the front of the envelope. After everyone has arrived and turned in their envelope, draw one winner as the door prize. When the mom-to-be writes her thank you notes from the shower, she has everyone's addresses ready to go and helps save time. This also helps get addresses together for birth announcements.

These are not really 'baby' oriented but good for a diverse group of people where there may be grandmothers and great-grandmothers-to-be present that might have a difficult time playing more active games.

Hang a picture of a baby (about 8x11 or so) on the wall. Can be a picture from a coloring book, magazine, etc. Photocopy pacifiers. Bring a blindfold. Play "put the paci in the baby's mouth.'

1. Have the guests guess the size of the mother's tummy by cutting off a piece of yarn they think will fit perfectly around her belly. It's funny how long that string really has to be sometimes!

2. Put different "scents" into diapers and fold them, then have guests pass them around and sniff them and write down the scents they guess. It's hilarious to see everything smelling diapers so intently! Ideas for putting into the diapers: cocoa, mustard, garlic, peanut butter, cinnamon, peppermint, vanilla, nutmeg, dill pickle juice, honey.

3. Make your own version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? where the mommy can win "Millions in baby wipes"! Create common questions and answers and have the mother guess. Let her even use lifelines to get by. Question examples: what's the average number of diaper changes for a newborn baby?

4. Make a crossword using different baby items and personalize it by using the mom & dad's names, siblings names, proposed city of birth, etc. There is a place online you can do this for free, but sorry, I don't have the address.

5. Buy several differnt baby foods that are different colors and pull the labels off. Write numbers on the jars before you remove the labels!! Write down what food matches what number jar and have guests try to guess what's inside. You can leave it just as looking only and then give the jars to the mommy to use later on, or you can do a free for all and let guests open the jars to smell, touch, taste, whatever to get the right guess, but then of course they have to be discarded.

Happy planning and have fun!!

But a bunch of baby bottles at least three or four and give then to the contestants. The object of the game is to drink the juice out of the baby bottle the fastest. It's going to be very hard to get th juice out by sucking it through that samll hole in the bottle. It's fun and the n whoever wins they get a prize. My favorite is when you cannotsay baby during the whole baby shower or youll get your baby pin taken from whoever catches you saying baby. Whoever has the most pins at the end of the shower gets a prize. But this game can get a little serious.!!!!!

Everyone gets a pacifier with a string around their necks and if anyone says the word baby they have to give the necklace away. Another one is, pass some different kinds of baby food around on a tray, number them and ppl write down what they think the food is by smelling or even tasting them. Of course remove the label first.

Game 1 -
Pass around a jar or bottle of Vaseline and tell everyone to take some as much or as little as they want. Once everyone has some tell them to put it on there nose. You then pass around a bowl of cotton balls make the cotton balls stick to your nose. Once everyone has cotton balls on there nose and you have taken some really funny pictures tell everyone to shake them off. Who ever shakes off the most wins. That is also the number of hours the mom to be is in labor.
Game 2 -
Put different smells in diapers. Orange lemon baby oil etc. pass around 6 or so diapers and who ever gets the most scents right wins. Its pretty funny to see all kinds of women sitting there smelling diapers.

Dont forget to apply the peas, they are form of unappealing. wager THE sweet BAR: melt a sweet bar in position it interior the middle of a clean open diaper. Whoever can wager the most wisely wins. Its relaxing to work out what number of human beings opt to poke at it and smell it, attempt those sweet bars: Almond exhilaration, Take 5, Hershey's Cookies and Cream, Whatchamacalit, kit Kat, Twix, Peppermint Patty, Mounds, Symphony with fruit, and Snickers.
