you might want to check a craft store like Joann's fabric or Michael's.

I have never seen gold string lights. But you could use clear Christmas lights and put them inside of bunched tulle which comes in a wide range of colors. You can find tulle and ribbon at any fabric/craft store. Look in the phone book under 'fabric' or 'craft' stores to see what is in your area. Joann's, Walmart, Michaels, Ben Franklin or something along those lines.

Believe it or not, I have seen Christmas lights at Wal-Mart already. It would be super cheap you can also get ribbon and tulle there.
You can get ribbon at any craft store, Michael's, etc.
You can get both the ribbon and tulle at a sewing store like JoAnn Fabrics.
If you can't find the gold lights maybe you can rent them. I know there is a chain of rental stores here (St. Louis) called Grand Rental Station that rents all sorts of things, including a lot of wedding stuff.

Wal mart is best place to look in the fabric section, or craft stores and we found gold ribbon at a cake decor shop. Lights are pretty easy to find, if you cant find them in the store look online you might get a better deal anyways. www.partyinnovations.com has burgundy tulle.

Try craft stores like JoAnn's, Michaels. Or you could check out the sewing department at walmart. Also look into the local craft and sewing shops in your area.

If you have a Big Lots around you, you might want to look there, also. You never know what they'll have and if you can find it there, you'll save $$.
