Well my love for this one guy is on suspension. He's currently involved with someone, but I believe my patience will be able to stand. I want him back so much.
Other relations I haven't been too deeply in love with the other person, so just keeping in touch as friends is working for me.

Yes I think those kinds of relationships do exist... they are alive and well.
Sometimes you (the collective you, not you specifically) fall for the wrong person and mostly because you love them so much you find yourself doing things that you would never do and that can be harmful to yourself. In these situations, no matter how much it hurts its better in the long run for both parties to just get away from each other before it becomes obessive.

YES! I was with him for 3 years and we broke up a total of 10 times. We were also engaged. We remain good friends although I am now married (well, we have very limited communication out of respect for my husband ~ we just email one or two liners every 3 months or so...). The love never "stopped," it just changed.. a LOT. I KNEW there was a better fit out there for me as well as one for him. I was correct. We could have done that dance forever but I wanted more. He and I both deserved more, too, although we had a lot. We never argued, we'd only just BREAK UP. Craziness.

Yes I have. Can't stand to be without them but when you are.... Yikes!!! Know how you feel. With the relationships I have had like that, get what you need when you can and then run!! It's not being rude it's being quick.

yes, my last 2 b/f's did not make me a better person...not that i was bad...but with them i wasn't happy with who i was...they tried to change me, make me someone i wasn't and also discouraged or shot down any ideas i had. i left them and found myself again and became a better person...now the guy i'm dating is wonderful, i feel like i'm a great person with him. He encourages me to do well.....in school...with eating better and getting more excersise. thats important to be with someone who makes you feel good about yourself as a person....i learned this lesson the hard way.

No, I haven't...but I would say anyone who was better of without someone than with them, should be without them...I'd question if it was love or infatuation, if the person wasn't "good for you"...

Girl dump the guy. If you see that you do just fine without him that should be telling you that this one ain't it. Stand strong and bold. later.
