It seems that you've already made up your mind.
And Anne, it's a Biblical Tradition about the blood atoning for sins--In the Old Testament, people offered the purest lamb to God as a covering for their sin. They'd place their sin on the lamb, and then its life would be given to God. It was the same with Jesus, except that it was everyone putting their sin on him, and he atoned their sin with the shedding of his blood (aka dying on the cross). Since that happened, all we have to do is believe in God and place our sin on Jesus, and our sins are forgiven. The reason this is necessary is because God commands it. And no, it doesn't make sense to us today because we don't participate in animal sacrifice anymore. If Jesus hadn't come though, we would probably still be sacrificing lambs.

Good question. If you haven't bothered to read the Bible then you really won't understand what David is saying. I agree with him, because it's what God's word says. Sin requires death because God will not tolerate sin/evil/ rebellion. He is a holy God but He's also a loving personal God who cares about you and wants to have a relationship with you. He loves you so much that He gave His best for you.
Do muslims feel this love from your god when you read your holy book, will your god die for you? Does anybody know anyone who knows you so much and is so interested in you up to the point of knowing the amount of hairs you have on your head right now?!
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
If Jesus didn't die then there's no hope for anyone, Jesus died (in your place) and rose again! FACT! Anyone who believes and accepts what Jesus did for them will experience the joy and security that no one can take away from you.
PS Jesus is Jewish so why do you find it hard to believe that David is a Messaianic Jew? Believers born out of the jewish culture are called Christians.
You go David! Lol :-)

David,
You are a Christian. Stop this evil and deceptive form of missionizing. It degrades Christianity.

. It is, by definition, impossible for it to be "jewish" to believe in jesus. "Jewish" is, by defintion, what jews have historically and contemporarily believe. Since in neither scenario do we find "believing in jesus", then we must clearly realize that belief in jesus is not something "jewish". You can call it "biblical" (and still be wrong), but certainly not "jewish".
. On the side, the subject of Isaiah 53 is promised a "long life" and "seed" (i.e. physical children). Clearly this isn't about jesus.
. And Isaiah 7 is clearly not messianic if you read the whole chapter. and "alma" doesn't mean virgin either. You'd know that if you spoke hebrew (I guess it wasn't part of your "extensive jewish upbringing", huh?)
. On the side, Isaiah 9 can't be about jesus since, according to christianity, he's the "son" not the "father" (as the verse states). Nor did he have control of the government (to the contrary, the roman government killed him). And he certainly did not establish "endless peace".

oh, and lastly, I've decided that you truly epitomize everything I find intensely intellectually unsatisfying about christianity. (And you clearly do not understand hebrew.)

"Without the shedding of blood there is no atonement for sins"? Listen to yourselves, fanatical Christians. You make God out to be a vicious sadistic brute who runs a cult of vampires.
And you think Scientology is bizarre!

Yes I agree. You may believe you have been cleansed, yet the repurcussionsof your wrongs still echoe through this world, who knows when they will come back to haunt you?
