I was thinking about finding an instrumental of "Yellow" by Coldplay. Thought it would be suspenseful almost (for everyone around especially the groom) if I was out of sight as the music played and built until the part where the music really kicks in...and this is where you would appear and begin walking down the aisle... I would do it solo... You gotta listen to the song to know what I am talking about. Unless you already know the song by heart like a lot of us women do! I think that it would be "just like the movies" to do it this way... I'm still waiting for someone to try and talk me out of it but so far everyone is keen on the idea!

The song I've played several times at weddings is called "How Beautiful" by Twila Paris. It's about five minutes long, but could be cut easily. It has very flowing parts, and very strong parts. A beautiful tune (no pun intended). Is good with a soloist or just as piano.

For my wedding, we didn't have ANY typical wedding music. We hired a guitarist to play at the ceremony. I walked down the aisle to Up and Away by Dave Matthews (just the guitar solo) and the rest of the wedding party walked out to Here COmes the Sun by the Beatles. Everyone at the wedding loved that we did that instead of the traditional stuff that is at EVERY wedding! Pick music you like and play it!
