It really depends on how big your chin is! If you're Jay Leno - definitely over, otherwise you'll let all the cold air in!

No hard or fast rule on this one it is peoples preference I would think.
I personally hide completely under duvet as I like to feel as snug as a bug in bed sort of hibernate for the night. I have never suffocated or come to any mad disease of the skin so I would imagine it is by choice.

Seeing all movements when you are asleep are totally involuntary - it doesn't matter if you start with your chin under or over the duvet - your sleeping body will happily put itself wherever it wants to.
It will also push the duvet off you, mess up your pillows, unhook fitted undersheets and wrap them around you and wake you up at the slightest sound!
Aren't our bodies wonderful. ;-)

My cat does the exact same aspect! He likes to get below the covers and stretch out next to me. He stretches his the front legs up on the pillow for my head to relax on and presses his nostril below my chin. He'd stay that way for hours, if I enable him, yet i will't stand it. I supply him slightly push and he strikes on to to the suitable of the mattress for some thing of the nighttime. I merely imagine it truly is comfortable for him.

I sleep with the duvet all cuddled up to my nose, lovely and snug. It wouldn't be quite so pleasant if I dribbled in my sleep though.

However you want to cover your chin when sleeping should not pose a health risk. I truly wouldn't advise sticking your head in a bidet though, may or may not cause a health problem.

Really depends on how you feel. some people find it too claustrophobic to have the chin tucked in. Try it and see. there is no medical explanation for either way. Good Luck !!!
