Be decent and tell her she gave you too much money. Waitresses make practically next to nothing. Everyone knows that. So cut her a break. She's standing on her feet for hours bringing food and drinks to people. She deserves every dollar she gets.

Well it would depend if she was hot, or an old hag! I'm just joking, of course you should tell her, it would be a shame if she had to pay for a simple mistake out of her own pocket. Who knows, seeing as how you where honest and up-front with her, perhaps she will hook you up with a free round, or even some "heavy-handed-poured" mixed drinks! Even if she does not reward your honesty, you can still walk away knowing you did the right thing!

I would tell her I gave her a 5. Did you know that would have come out of her tips if not returned.? I was a barmaid and waitress for many years. I appreciated it when people were honest. Remember this, "What goes around, comes around".

No question, tell her and correct the mistake. Likely she works off tips and by pocketing the difference, she will probably have to make up the difference.

I would tell her that she made a mistake. She may have to pay for any mistakes she makes with change. She may have kids to feed or something.

I would let her know, because she'll have to pay for that mistake at the end of the night with her tips
